  • 1 in 4 women who have had an abortion will suffer from complications in future pregnancies.  These complications may include excessive bleeding, premature delivery, cervical damage, and sterility).
  • Recent studies have discovered that there is a connection in the rate of abortion and the rising incidence of breast cancer in America.  Some studies indicate a 140% increased risk of breast cancer among women following an abortion.

Side Effects

  • Women who undergo an abortion during their first trimester are at risk of bacterial vaginosis, which can in turn lead to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).  This condition must be treated.

  • Uterine perforations is another side effect that may very well go unrecognized and untreated.

  • Abortion can contribute to an increased chance of having an ectopic pregnancy for younger women when associated with pelvic inflammatory disease.

  • The risk of placenta previa is increased by 600% following an abortion.  This is a condition where your body produces extremely severe, life-threatening bleeding in future pregnancies.

  • Following an abortion, 1 in 24 women under 20 years of age have experienced immediate complications including infections, perforation of the uterus, sever bleeding and even part of the baby being retained.

Multiple Abortions

  • Increases your risk of a miscarriage by more than 200% for future pregnancies.

  • Increases the risk of a tubal pregnancy by 160%.

  • Increases the risk of abnormal positioning of the baby in future pregnancies.
